Chelsea star eyes PSG move, says “I’d like to play in Paris, I won’t deny it”

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has expressed his desire to play for Paris Saint-Germain, stating that the Lique 1 club “are the club of my heart and city.”

The Frenchman played for AC Milan last season on loan from Chelsea.

Bakayoko was for most part a fans’ favourite at Milan, who had a €35m option to make their loan deal for the Chelsea midfielder permanent, report Football Italia.

However, the Frenchman fell out of favour after he was late for training and engaged in a touchline feud with Gattuso during a match last month.

“I experienced some difficult moments, especially at the start,” he told L’Equipe.

“I’m sad to leave, but that’s life. My relationship with Gattuso was complicated, we didn’t understand each other. I don’t really want to talk about him.

“It’s difficult to hear certain things about me in the Press, especially when they’re not true.

“Things didn’t go the way they were told, but we know the world we live in. It was just news, a way something was analysed…

“I took Italian lessons at one point, but then I stopped. I picked it up from my teammates every day.

“Given things didn’t go well at the start, I didn’t take the time to learn it properly. I overslept…

“I have three years left on my contract with Chelsea. They’re currently the best project on offer, but we’ll listen to other proposals.”

The 24-year-old was then asked for his thoughts on the Coach he would like to work under, as well as Leonardo and Paris Saint-Germain.

“I really liked Conte. I also think Allegri has the same style,” he continued.

“Leonardo brought me to Milan, it was he who allowed me to recover my form by putting his trust in me.

“I have a lot of respect for him and Milan. I’m glad he’s coming to Paris, they’re the club of my heart and city.

“I’m sure he’ll do a good job. I wish him the best there. Of course I’d like to play in Paris, I won’t deny it.

“It means a lot to my loved ones and I. We’re real Parisians.”

Real Madrid’s sensational target rubbishes Benarbeu summer move

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has rubbished speculations about his potential move to Santiago Bernabeu, saying “now is not the time to talk about a move to Real Madrid.”

The France international has been heavily linked with a summer move to the Spanish giants as Zinedine Zidane is poised to rebuild his team after last season’s disastrous campaign.

Zidane has never hidden his desire to have Mbappe in his team.

“Now is not the time to talk about a move to Real Madrid.

“This is something that I am asked about a lot, but I have said that I will be at PSG next season.

“You (the media) always ask this question, but now is not the time.”

Whilst Mbappe’s stance on a move to the Spanish capital in the immediate future remains clear, speculation remains that he will look to move on should PSG fail to meet his career expectations.

Manchester United make last-minute move to hijack Barcelona target

Manchester United are spoiling for a showdown with Barcelona over Antoine Griezmann as the Premier League side plot to hijack the Nou Camp club’s move for the Frenchman.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils are prepared to smash their transfer record by offering Atletico Madrid £95million for the striker.

Barca appeared close to landing the France World Cup star – but their failure to make an official move has opened the door to United.

And club chiefs could now swoop as they prepare for Belgian hitman Romelu Lukaku and current £89m signing Paul Pogba to leave.

Griezmann, 28, gave the Old Trafford outfit hope when he claimed that his future may now be away from Spain.

Speaking after France’s 4-0 Euro 2020 qualifying win in Andorra on Tuesday, he said: “I don’t know if I will stay in La Liga.

“I know where I want to go. I am also keen to get this over with as quickly as possible.”

Griezmann antagonised Atletico last month by announcing he planned to join Barca this summer.

Serie A club president gives update on Sarri’s problem getting Chelsea nod to join Juventus

Serie A club Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi has revealed that Maurizio Sarri “is having problems getting away from Chelsea. Juventus told me on Saturday they trust it’ll be done.”

The Coach has been on the verge of a move to Juve for weeks now, but the termination of his contract by mutual consent is continually put off, report Football Italia.

Corsi, however, assures Juventus fans that the Old Lady “told me on Saturday they trust it’ll be done.”

“Sarri is having problems getting away from Chelsea,” his old Empoli President Corsi told Telelombardia.

“He’s grumbling now and is a bit pessimistic, we heard from him this morning, but Juve told me on Saturday that they trust it’ll be done soon. That was Saturday, now it’s Wednesday… I hope for everyone’s sake this gets resolved.”

Meanwhile, Bianconeri director of sport Fabio Paratici flew out to London this evening and should hold face-to-face talks with Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia.

According to The Sun today, Chelsea are reconsidering their decision to let Sarri go, having seen the unimpressive list of potential replacements, including Frank Lampard and Rafa Benitez.

Corsi knows Sarri well, having given him his first ever Serie A job.
