Angry Chelsea fans bombard David Luiz’s restaurant with scathing reviews after Brazilian’s move to Arsenal

Chelsea supporters have taken their anger out on David Luiz’s swanky Mayfair restaurant after his controversial move to London rivals Arsenal.

Centre-back Luiz shocked the Blues by agreeing to move to the Emirates in a £7million deal, despite signing a new two-year contract in May.

Some included subtle hints — and others not so subtle — that the damning verdicts were in response to Luiz’s exit, the Sun reports.

One, from a user who called himself ‘Frank Lampard’, described Babbo as “overrated and overpriced” while being “not as good as it used to be”.

It continued, saying that the waiter “was moving the restaurant to Holloway, North London. I said fine, walked out knowing there are three better Italian restaurants ahead of his.”

Another reviewer on TripAdvisor wrote: “One of the worst places I have ever been to. A visit ruined by poor service, and horrible food was made worse when a big RAT came out of the kitchen.

“I shall not be returning to, or recommending this rat-infested place.”

Even Luiz’s famous locks were attacked with a subtle dig, as one reviewer said: “The plate came with a curly hair in my food, and appeared to be rat droppings on the floor…”

“Would not recommend to anyone. I have reported the restaurant to the relevant authorities.”

The restaurant, which is co-owned by fellow Brazilian Willian, has been a popular spot for footballers and famous faces.

Since it opened in April last year, Rio Ferdinand, Ronaldo and Niall Horan have all stopped by.

Eden Hazard scores his first Real Madrid goal as Spanish club beat Salzburg (Match Report)

Former Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard scored his first goal for Real Madrid shirt in a pre-season friendly against against Salzburg at the Red Bull Arena in Austria.

The Belgium netted the only goal in the match as Los Blancos recorded their second consecutive win in pre-season friendlies, having been emphatic in their 5-3 win over Fenerbahce last Wednesday.

Hazard put in an impressive performance up front with Karim Benzema before he made way for fellow new signing Luka Jovic around the hour mark.

Benzema released him on the break down the left, dribbled forward to draw his defender, before cutting inside and curling a shot from distance into the right corner to give Madrid the lead after 19 minutes.

Salzburg came close to equalizing soon after Hazard’s goal. But Japanese winger Minamino, unmarked and just five yards out, managed to put the ball wide of the near post when it would have been easier to score.

Madrid looked dangerous on the break throughout and put together a few stunning passages of play in a game that will be mainly remembered for the performance and debut goal of Eden Hazard.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery warned over move for Chelsea defender David Luiz

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has warned Unai Emery not to sign David Luiz, stating that the Gunners boss will be making a huge mistake in his bid to bring the Chelsea defender to the Emirates.

The experienced Brazil international is keen to swap west for north London on deadline day with his relationship with Frank Lampard having spectacularly deteriorated over the course of the last few days.

Luiz was told to train away from the rest of Chelsea’s first team squad on Wednesday with Lampard fearing the 32-year-old had become a disruptive influence ahead of Sunday’s Premier League opener against Manchester United, The Metro reports.

Emery is desperate to sign a new centre-half, particularly in light of Laurent Koscielny’s acrimonious departure.

Keown believes Luiz’s expansive passing range would suit Arsenal’s style, but the Gunners’ weakness in midfield would leave him isolated and vulnerable.

‘If I was at Arsenal and had the ear of Unai Emery, I would be advising my manager not to sign David Luiz,’ he told the Daily Mail.

‘Walk away from this deal. This is not the defender for you. It’s too high risk.

‘Yes, Arsenal want a centre back, but is Luiz the answer to their prayers? I don’t think so.

‘The way the 32-year-old plays, he would be exposed in that Arsenal defence. He would not get the same protection that he enjoys at Chelsea, where N’Golo Kante patrols in front of the back line.

‘In possession, Luiz is a wonderful passer, but he makes mistakes when playing as part of a back four.

‘He has a tendency to lose his marker and is one of those all-or-nothing players — if he doesn’t win the ball in a challenge, then congratulations because you’re in.’

Romelu Lukaku flies to Italy to complete Inter Milan move

Romelu Lukaku is set to join Inter Milan on Thursday after undergoing the club’s medical.

The 26-year-old is currently in Belgium and will fly straight to Milan from there for the medical on Thursday.

Inter and Manchester United exchanged documents via email, so there is no need to fly to England for the paperwork.

Lukaku has been AWOL this week, using the training facilities of former club Anderlecht.

Belgium’s all-time record goalscorer has been in his homeland, staying away from United in the hope of forcing through a move, after falling out of favour with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

His agent, Federico Pastorello, flew to London on Wednesday in an attempt to resolve his future.

And later that evening, Pastorello posted a photo on Instagram of himself and Lukaku on board a private jet flying from Brussels, with the caption: “Ready to take off. Direction Milano.

Manchester United had wanted €85m for Lukaku, but the final figures seem to be €75-78m.

That translates to £60m plus £12m in bonuses, a total of £72m.

The player had agreed personal terms with Inter several weeks ago, as he has been their transfer target since Antonio Conte first took over.
