Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has given an update on speculation surrounding his defender Nathan Ake, saying his club have not received any formal bids for the player.

There have been reports in England that Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal have all been linked to the 24-year-old.

The former Chelsea academy player, who is expected to cost £40m, is still on the sideline because of injury.

When asked if any formal approaches had been made, the Bournemouth boss said: “Nothing to report on Nathan [Ake].

“He is recovering well from his injury, we will see when he is back fit.”
