Frank Lampard reveals injury crisis in Chelsea ahead of Everton, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich clashes

Chelsea are facing an injury crisis as the Blues are billed to do battle against Everton, Aston Villa and Bayern Munich.

Frank Lampard believes the only way to deal with Chelsea’s injury crisis is to battle through and show the fight and spirit they did on Tuesday night.

The Blues could potentially have nine players missing on Saturday when they take on Everton in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

Jorginho is suspended, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is not still fully fit. Callum Hudson-Odoi, Andreas Christensen, Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante and Tammy Abraham are all trying to recover from injury.

Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic and Willian added to the woes after hobbling off in the win over Jurgen Klopp’s side in the FA Cup.

Lampard said: “Both of them have Achilles issues, so Willian hopefully is not too bad, that’s what he’s reporting.

“Kovacic was slightly worse, but hopefully not too drastic… we’ll see.

“We’ll have to have a bit of a count on Thursday, with the game on Sunday and see where we’re at.

“You can moan about injuries, and I have done, but the reality is you have to get on and keep fighting.

“When the players show the spirit they have tonight you hope it gives them a bit of strength, whoever comes in, to keep going forward.”

Willian rejects new contract offer from Chelsea, eyes Stamford Bridge exit

Willian has reportedly rejected a new contract offer from Chelsea and could ditch them for a Premier League rival.

UOL claims Willian, 31, has been offered a two-year deal by Frank Lampard after taking over from Eden Hazard as Chelsea’s main playmaker.

The Blues have a policy of only offering one-year extensions to players over the age of 30.

But they made an exception for David Luiz when he penned a two-year contract before his shock move to Arsenal.

And Roman Abramovich is bending his own rules once again after hearing Lampard’s pleas to keep Willian at Stamford Bridge.
