Reports in England claim Chelsea are hopeful of beating Manchester United and Arsenal to the £85million signing of Leon Bailey.

The Bayer Leverkusen winger, 22, is one of Europe’s most exciting young wingers and has attracted plenty of interest over recent seasons.

And according to the Sunday Express, Chelsea sent scouts to watch Bailey in action as he came off the bench against Rangers on Thursday.

The Jamaican international replaced Karim Bellarabi with half an hour remaining at Ibrox but he caused plenty of damage to Steven Gerrard’s side.

Liverpool are also thought to be interested in the pacey winger while German giants Bayern Munich have been tracking him for the last few years.

But Leverkusen would understandably rather sell their star to the Premier League rather than to a Bundesliga rival.

The former Genk man still has three years left to run on the contract he signed in August 2018.

Brazil football legend Ronaldinho has featured in a Paraguay prison football match with extraordinary images showing him dsplaying unique skill that endear him to many fans of the game.

The former Ballon d’Or winner was reported to be taking part in a five-a-side prison tournament, accoording to Sportsmail, in order to bring inmates together to compete for a bizarre prize of a 16kg suckling pig.

Pictures appeared of Ronaldinho featuring in the action, wearing a white vest and a pair of floral shorts along with AstroTurf trainers.

Sporting his trademark ponytail, the Brazil icon looked to be straight in among the action as the tournament got underway upon a small concrete pitch.

A later image then showed Ronaldinho surrounded by team-mates, clutching a golden trophy.

The team boasting the former Barcelona and AC Milan superstar won the final match 11-2, with Ronaldinho scoring five goals and assisting the other six.

The 39-year-old was detained after being arrested for allegedly attempting to enter the South American country of Paraguay with a fake passport alongside his brother.
