Arsenal star snubs Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan

Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly not interested in joining Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan as a replacement for Lautaro Martinez.

The French forward’s Arsenal deal runs until 2022 but he has not always been a regular starter under Mikel Arteta.

Conte’s Inter had hoped to lure the former Lyon man to Serie A to replace outgoing striker Martinez.

Argentine Martinez is thought to be on the verge of a move to Barcelona after Inter confirmed he will be allowed to leave if the Catalan giants can cough up his £100million release clause.

According to French outlet L’Equipe, Lacazette has declined to make the move to the San Siro to play for Inter.

After bagging nine goals and three assists in 26 games this season the French ace did enough to convince Inter he was a worthy replacement for 22-year-old Martinez but is not keen on the transfer

Chelsea set to stop chase of prime target, identifies dribbling wizard as alternative

There are reports Chelsea could turn to Villarreal’s Samu Chukwueze in their hunt for a new winger this summer.

But with BVB refusing to drop their asking price for Jadon Sancho, the West Londoners appear to have privately conceded defeat in the race to sign the much-coveted 20-year-old.

So with Manchester United now the overwhelming favourites to acquire Sancho, the Blues are having to consider other options.

The Blues had been hoping to prise Sancho away from Borussia Dortmund in the coming months.

And according to Goal, Villarreal livewire Chukwueze is one being carefully considered.

The 21-year-old has become a regular in LaLiga after coming through the Yellow Submarine’s academy.

Chukwueze regularly troubles defences with his outstanding dribbling ability, although his final ball could do with some refining – having provided four assists in addition to four goals this season.

Former Chelsea star in horror car crash

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Marcin Bulka wrecked his £200,000 Lamborghini in a horror crash during lockdown in Poland

The 20-year-old, however, escaped unhurt and was released from hospital following a check over after the dramatic smash.

It is understood the Polish youngster was driving the rented yellow Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder near his home in Wyszogrod, Warsaw at around midnight on Wednesday night.

But when he attempted an overtake, he is thought to have collided head-on into an oncoming car.

Later images revealed the supercar’s extensive damage and then it being towed away on the back of a pick-up truck.

Ex-Aston Villa star Gabriel Agbonlahor blasts Chelsea hero, reveals why “I’ll hate him for the rest of my life”

Gabriel Agbonlahor will never get over Roberto Di Matteo’s treatment of teammate Stiliyan Petrov.

Di Matteo helped Chelsea win the Champions League in 2012, beating the then dreaded Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.

The Chelsea hero started his coaching career at MK Dons and arrived at Aston Villa after a season at Schalke.

Returning from leukaemia, Petrov was hoping to play for the Villains in 2016-17, but the Italian coach did not offer the Bulgarian a chance to return after a three-year battle against the disease.

“I’ll hate him for the rest of my life for that,” Agbonlahor told threesixtytv as cited by Football Italia.

“Any other manager with a single bit of heart would have given him a pay-as-you-play.

The former England international claimed Petrov had worked hard during pre-season and was putting in enough work to deserve another chance.

“There’s a month, or there’s six months, let’s see how you are. To be so ruthless and heartless to not even give him a chance, you know what I mean?

“Imagine you come back from that horrific disease, you’ve got yourself fit, you’ve lost all this weight that you’ve put on through your treatment.

“You’ve come back, you’ve done every run that the 19-year-olds have done in pre-season and you can’t give me anything? Do you know what I mean?”

Chelsea set to hijack Liverpool’s move for Leizpig hotshot Timo Werner

Chelsea have hatched a plan to jump to the front of the queue for Timo Werner this summer, according to Bild.

The 24-year-old has scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists in 39 appearances this season, compelling every big European club to take notice.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool, who have been the frontrunners for the striker’s signature, are not willing to meet his £49million release clause and will only make a move if a lower fee closer to £30m can be negotiated.

The Premier League champions-elect are facing a gargantuan £100m shortfall in income due to the pandemic. This goes in line with an earlier report, with the Reds seemingly prepared to lose out on the player even to a rival.

Manchester United are also interested, but Chelsea, according to the Evening Standard, hope to use Antonio Rudiger to help persuade Werner to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard wants to build his attack around Werner, and his close friendship with fellow Germany international Rudiger could help Chelsea win the race.

Mikel Arteta confirms Arsenal interest in Chelsea prime target, sees him as “dream signing”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has reportedly “already confirmed” a transfer plan to sign Philippe Coutinho and is confident he can get the best out of the Brazilian.

Coutinho, 27, is currently on loan at Bayern Munich but is the subject of plenty of transfer interest from the Premier League.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester have all been linked with moves for the playmaker, who left Liverpool for Barcelona in 2018.

But according to ABC in Spain, Gunners boss Arteta has laid out a plan to make Coutinho an integral player in his side next season.

Barcelona are looking to sell their flop and, according to The Sun, recoup some of the £145million they paid for him as they desperately raise funds for the likes of Lautaro Martinez.

It would surely take plenty of negotiating to work out a deal to bring Coutinho back to the Premier League.

It was in England that he enjoyed the best years of his career so far but Arteta sees the Brazilian as a “dream signing” and someone he can help reach their “best level”.

Should Arsenal press forward with an attempt to sign Coutinho, though, they will face heavy competition from Chelsea in particular.

Chelsea receive boost in the pursuit of Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico

Reports in England claim Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico for just £22.4million this summer.

The Telegraph claim Frank Lampard has eyed a move for Ben Chilwell but Leicester City have slapped a £40m price-tag on the England ace.

The report adds that Chelsea have been made aware of Tagliafico’s relatively low fee and the fact that the Argentine is keen on a move to England.

The Blues have already developed a strong relationship with Ajax following the £37m deal to bring Hakim Ziyech to Stamford Bridge this summer, report The Sun.

Tagliafico has evolved into one of Europe’s best left-backs since arriving at the Johan Cruyff Arena in 2018 and the Blues made checks on him before the suspension of football.

The 27-year-old shone in Ajax’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League last year but now it seems he is ready to move on to pastures new.

As quoted by the Evening Standard, the defender’s agent Ricardo Schlieper said: “We are looking for a transfer for Tagliafico.

“We have agreed with Ajax that he would leave this year. After having spent two-and-a-half seasons at the club, it’s the ideal moment for it.

“If football goes back to being normal, a transfer could be done for Tagliafico.

“There are clubs that are interested but we have to see how everything pans out with football and the pandemic.

“I will never mention a name of the club we are speaking with because it hurts the negotiations for us and the player.”

Manchester United make fresh offer to keep Chelsea-bound starlet

There are reports Manchester United have prepared a lucrative offer to keep teenager Angel Gomes.

That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim the Red Devils have tabled an offer worth nearly £30,000-a-week.

Gomes, 19, will be free to leave Old Trafford in the coming weeks with his contract expiring on June 30.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co. are hopeful that the wage increase of around £13,000-a-week will convince the England Under-20 international to stay.

However, should Gomes reject the deal Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are expected to challenge for his services.

Barcelona hand Chelsea transfer boost as starlet’s move to Stamford Bridge gathers momentum

Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia has received a boost in the pursuit of Barcelona talent Xavier Mbuyamba.

Spanish newspaper Sport claim Barcelona have told Mbuyamba that he’s free to leave in June with Inter Milan, and Real Madrid also showing interest.

Manager Frank Lampard is looking to bolster his defensive options in the upcoming transfer window and has his sights on 18-year-old Mbuyamba.

Mbuyamba, who can operate as a central defender or at right-back, is contracted at the Nou Camp until June 2023.
