Jose Mourinho mounts pressure on Tottenham Board to sign Frank Lampard’s first-team star

There are reports that Jose Mourinho wants Tottenham’s top board to help him seal a summer swoop for Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

The Spurs boss, who landed Zouma for the Blues during his time in charge of the club, hopes to reunite with the player he bought for £12million.

The France centre-back, who’s been a part of the Blues squad since joining from Saint Etienne in 2014, enjoyed two successful loan spells at Stoke and Everton.

Although Frank Lampard made more use of the 25-year-old’s defensive talents this season, the player looks to be heading for the Stamford Bridge exit.

Media outlets in France claim Mourinho has been in talks with Tottenham’s board over a possible move for Zouma.

Marcos Alonso reacts to Chelsea move for Ben Chilwell

Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has reacted to the Stamford Bridge club’s move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell on twitter.

Alonso “liked” a tweet criticising Chelsea’s transfer interest in left-back target Ben Chilwell.

The London club are reportedly resolute in their desire to sign Chilwell. But their interest in the City star appears has split opinions amongst the fanbase.

Whilst one dedicated a Twitter video in favour of signing the England international, another responded by listing the number of areas where Alonso is better than Chilwell.

The tweet read: “This guy can go on about Chilwell for 140 seconds and forgets to mention: – less goal contributions than Marcos Alonso, whos (sic) started FOURTEEN matches less than Chilwell. Less chances created/90 than MA. Less clean sheets/90 than MA. Less tackles won/90 than MA.”

Screenshots on Twitter revealed Alonso liked the tweet supporting his stats, though the Spaniard has since unliked the post.

Chelsea starlet reveals why he snubbed Manchester United, Liverpool, others for the Blues

Tino Anjorin has revealed why he snubbed Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Borussia Dortmund to stay at Chelsea.

The Blues starlet has just signed a new five-year Chelsea contract amid the coronavirus crisis.

Anjorin broke into the first team earlier this season and was wanted by Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund.

He can play in midfield, as a striker or on either wing, and could fill the void left behind by Pedro and Willian.

He said: “It’s a brilliant feeling. I’ve been at the club since I was six so to get to this stage and then be offered a five-year contract is amazing.

“I had no hesitation but to take it straight away because to play for the club I always dreamed of playing for is really special to me.

“I’ve been at Chelsea for so long so it feels really special to get this new long contract.

“It gives me a few years to keep developing and try to push into the first team.

“I still have a lot of hard work to do to get there but hopefully I can do it and inspire the next group of youngsters coming through.”
