Bakayoko set to remain in England as Premier League club are ahead of AC Milan for Chelsea flop

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is set to remain in the Premier League if latest reports are anything to go by.

West Ham are reportedly ahead of AC Milan in the race to sign the Frenchman as the Hammers boss David Moyes is
keen to bolster his central midfield department this summer.

The 25-year-old obviously struggled at Chelsea, but he has been decent in Ligue 1 this term.

Monaco have a €42m option to keep Bakayoko beyond this season, but they seem unlikely to activate it in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

Bakayoko was reported to have offered himself to Milan.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Transfer 20, the Hammers are keen to sign Chelsea man Tiemoue Bakayoko. In fact, they suggest that the east London outfit are in pole position to secure the Frenchman’s signature.

West Ham are ready to sign the 25-year-old permanently, unlike Monaco and AC Milan. And they are also ready to pay Chelsea their asking price for Bakayoko.

Chelsea set to hijack Arsenal move for PSG star

Chelsea are set for another remarkable hijack as they are reportedly poised to beat Arsenal and Atletico Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa.

Frank Lampard is desperate to sign a new left-back this summer after deeming Emerson and Marcos Alonso surplus to requirements and has identified Chilwell as his first-choice target.

But the humunguous price (of £80m) on the head of the Leicester City defender is causing Chelsea a sleepless night.

Kurzawa, who is set to become a free agent at the end of this month, is however seen as an option.

Metro, citing a report in France, claim that the Blues have also taken an interest in the 27-year-old.

“According to France Football, the west London club made contact with Kurzawa’s agents ‘a few days ago’ to register their interest in signing the experienced full-back,” states the report.

“The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent with his contract due to expire on June 30 and the report states multiple top European clubs are vying for his signature.

“Arsenal are still interested in Kurzawa after pursuing him in January, while Atletico Madrid are also keen on the French defender.

“His representatives are said to be focusing on getting the left-back a move to La Liga or the Premier League over the Serie A, with Inter Milan and Juventus also coming close to signing him in the last transfer window.”
