Real Madrid plot to swoop for N’Golo Kante

Reports in Spain claim Real Madrid have set their sights on Chelsea star N’Golo Kante for £71m for a summer transfer.

Now, according to Spanish newspaper AS, Kante may be heading to Bernabeu in the summer especially now that Chelsea have started the process of overhauling their squad.

The reports add that Chelsea need to sell players in order to fund their moves for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Leicester City’s defender Ben Chilweel.

Lampard has plenty of options in midfield with Jorginho, the impressive Mateo Kovacic, new hope Billy Gilmour, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Frenchman, a two-time Premier League title winner and World Cup winner with France in 2018, joined Chelsea for £29m from Leicester.

Chelsea invite highly-rated Nigerian defender to train with club

Chelsea have reportedly invited highly-rated Nigerian central defender Abdulmalik Justin Owolabi-Belewu to train with the club.

Reports in Nigeria claim the Blues have extended the invite with a view to a permanent transfer for the 17-year-old.

Owolabi-Belewu was born in the UK but is currently on the books of Toronto FC Academy U19 team.

Anderlecht have also shown an interest in signing the 6ft 2ins star, who started out as a striker before moving to defence, report The Sun.

Prior to joining Toronto FC, he played for London Youth Whitecaps and was the league’s top scorer for three consecutive years from 2016.

He has been described as a versatile central defender with good vision, range of passing, physical build and high IQ.
