Bayern Munich newboy Leroy Sane CONFIRMS Kai Havertz’s move to Chelsea

Leroy Sane has appeared to let slip Chelsea will definitely sign Kai Havertz this summer.

The Blues have been leading the race for the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder who is regarded as the brightest young talent in Germany.

And ex-Manchester City ace looks to have confirmed that deal is now done.

Sane appeared to let it slip during his first press conference as a Bayern Munich player.

The German winger said: “It‘s good for Chelsea that they signed two German top talents with Werner and Havertz this summer.”

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been at pains to avoid speaking about Havertz while his side continue their battle to secure Champions League football.

The gaffe came just hours after it was claimed Petr Cech would fly to Germany to tempt Havertz to joining the Stamford Bridge side.

The German outfit were originally demanding an eye-watering £90m fee for the impressive forward but with only two years remaining on his contract they are, according to The Sun, resigned to losing him for less.

Sky Germany report that the Blues technical director Cech is set to hold “face-to-face talks” with the 21-year-old.

Arsenal optimistic of landing Chelsea star

There are reports in England that Arsenal are confident of signing Willian for free in the summer.

The Brazilian could follow in the footsteps of his compatriot David Luiz in swapping Stamford Bridge for The Emirates later this summer.

It’s long been reported that the 31-year-old winger, who has made over 300 appearances for the Blues since joining in 2013, favours a stay in London, report the Mirror.

He reportedly turned down a move to MLS side Inter Miami amid contract negotiations with his club. It’s said he wants a longer deal than the one-year extension they’re offering him.

The latest report from ESPN Brazil reporter Bruno Vicari suggests that Arsenal are optimistic of their chances of signing Willian as negotiations continue with the club.

His current contract was extended to cover the remainder of the protracted season, but unless he signs an extension, he’ll be a free agent next month.

(WATCH VIDEO) Fuming Lampard in touchline row with Jurgen Klopp, tells Liverpool bench to “f*** off”

New footage has emerged showing fuming Frank Lampard telling the Liverpool bench to “f*** off” during a heated touchline row.

The Chelsea boss branded Liverpool “arrogant” after the title winners dented their Champions League hopes with a thrilling 5-3 victory.

The incident was sparked after Mateo Kovacic was adjudged to have fouled Sadio Mane as the Senegal star broke at pace.

The Sun rpeort that Lampard was furious with the decision and made his thoughts to the fourth official well known.

But it sparked a reaction from Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool bench who were then locked in a war of words from the technical area.

With no fans in the stadium, audio footage captured what was said with Lampard initially shouting: “How is that a foul? There’s no foul there.”

He then tells Klopp to “sit down” before getting more irate when Klopp repeatedly tells him to “calm down.”

Lampard then responds: “If he’s going off at me I’ll f say something.”

Klopp’s assistant Pep Lijnders then appears to weigh into the argument in which Lampard shouts: “You can f*** off and all.

“You think you can give it the big one, f*** off.”

To make matters worse for Lampard, Trent Alexander-Arnold scored from the free-kick to put Liverpool 2-0 ahead.

Liverpool threatened to run away with the contest when Naby Keita, Alexander-Arnold and Georginio Wijnaldum put the hosts 3-0 ahead after 43 minutes.

Olivier Giroud pulled one back before goals from Roberto Firmino, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain completed the eight-goal thriller.

After the contest, Lampard hit out at the behaviour of Liverpool’s backroom bench.

He told Sky Sports after the contest: “For me, it wasn’t a foul from Kovacic, and there were a lot of things that weren’t going our way.

“Dribbling Wizard” Said Benrahma opens up on Chelsea interest

Brentford winger Said Benrahma admits he is flattered to be linked to Chelsea.

The Algerian also revealed the Blues were one of three Premier League teams he watched as a kid and that their interest gives him confidence.

Benrahma has been one of the standout players in the Championship this year scoring 17 goals and registering eight assists.

Chelsea have made Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz their top priority signing but Benrahma is seen as a cheaper alternative.

Arsenal are also keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old as they weigh up a summer bid.

When asked about the links to the Premier League giants, he added: “I was really flattered, but, at the same time, I am so focused about getting out of the Championship with Brentford that I do not pay too much attention.”

The former Nice attacker hinted he may snub a move to Chelsea or Arsenal if his side reach the top flight.

“It has always been a target of mine to play in the Premier League and I really wish to play in the Premier League with Brentford,” he explained.

“It would be magnificent for Brentford because it would be the first time and we have really been working hard on it. I am still confident.”

Former Chelsea star Dan Petrescu has been rushed to hospital after testing positive for coronavirus.

The Romanian ex-defender, 52, currently manages his home country’s reigning champions CFR Cluj.

Petrescu has now become the Transylvanian club’s 13th employee to be struck down by Covid-19.

Sources in Bucharest said they expect the 95-cap international to spend a minimum of 48 hours in hospital.

A string of Cluj players and coaching staff had previously been diagnosed with the condition.

He ended his five-year Stamford Bridge spell in 2000.

Meanwhile, The Washington Post claim that clubs in the country are considering suspending the Romanian league as the country registers a growing number of virus infections.

There were 1,030 new cases in the last 24 hours, the highest amount since the pandemic reached Romania in February.
