Liverpool, Manchester United receive knocks for “blackmailing” Bayern Munich

Liverpool and Manchester United have been criticized for blackmailing Bayern Munich over Thiago Alcantara deal.

According to former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness, the two premeir League clubs are trying to “blackmail” the German champions, stating that Liverpool and Manchester United have an ‘agreement’ with Alcantara.

The German told Sport1 that: “It is a difficult situation.

“A while ago we agreed on a new four-year contract. Some days later he said: ‘I’m looking for a new challenge.’ Which is totally okay.

“I think he obviously has an agreement with Liverpool or Manchester United or both of them. Now both clubs are bluffing, and no one has contacted Bayern Munich officially.

“From my point of view, that has no style. They’re trying to blackmail us, by waiting until the last week, when they’re going to make a cheap offer.

The Italians want Kante to anchor their midfield this season and have made the Frenchman their primary target.

But Lampard maintains the 29-year-old is going nowhere.

“I see those reports as well – he’s an incredible player.

“I certainly don’t want to lose him, no.”
