Serie A club make loan offer for Kepa as Edouard Mendy seals Chelsea switch

Chelsea have reportedly received a loan offer for Kepa Arrizabalaga from a club in Italy.

The Spain international has been criticized for his recent displays between the sticks as Chelsea shipped in unprecedented 54 goals last season.

Football insider ExWHYemployee, as cited by the Express, revealed Chelsea have the chance to offload the struggling star.

He tweeted: “Chelsea news: A club from Italy has submitted a loan move for Kepa.

“Although it is not confirmed, the club is thought to be Roma.”

Kepa added another howler to his tally as he gifted Sadio Mane his goal during the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.

And his No1 spot is in doubt following the arrival of Edouard Mendy from Rennes.

The 28-year-old moves to Stamford Bridge on a five-year deal for a fee believed to be in the region of £22million.

Arsenal set to launch another raid on Chelsea, weigh up shock bid for Blues ace

Reports in England claim Arsenal are weighing up a bid for Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.

Mikel Arteta has so far struggled to get either Houssem Aouar or Thomas Partey through the door.

The Spaniard sees a defensive midfielder as the key cog in finally getting to play 4-3-3.

Jorginho appears to be down the pecking order at Chelsea, with Frank Lampard preferring N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic in midfield.

The 28-year-old was linked with the exit door at Stamford Bridge earlier in the summer as speculation suggested he could complete a switch to Juventus.

That move became more unlikely following the sacking of Maurizio Sarri, but he could have a new option on the table amid Arsenal’s interest.

And he could follow the Blue exodus to the Emirates, much like David Luiz and Willian.

Sky Sports claim the Italian international is on the list of top Arsenal targets.

Barcelona plot surprise swoop for Chelsea star

Barcelona are reportedly lining up a surprise swoop for Chelsea outcast Antonio Rudiger.

The defender is said to be unhappy at Stamford Bridge having failed to make an appearance in the early weeks of the season.

He was left out of the squad triggering suspicion the German defender could be a player to make way for all the new signings.

And, with Frank Lampard admitting the player could soon leave, reports have emerged of a possible destination.

German publication Kicker and Spanish newspaper Sport both believe Barcelona have Rudiger in their sights.

The centre-back, 27, is seen as an alternative to Manchester City starlet Eric Garcia, who wants to return to Spain.

Frank Lampard provided a brief update on the future of the German after speculation the centre-back could be sold.

Lampard said: “Don’t read too much into team selections at the moment.”
