What a beautiful finish by Mount to give Chelsea the lead!
Jorginho finds the youngster on the edge of the box and Mbemba tries to beat him to the ball as he stretches for it.
But Mount makes a lovely turn around the Porto ace and fires a beautiful shot that sends the ball to the bottom right corner of Marchesin!
Chelsea find a goal after struggling to hold on to possession.
That was a critical mistake from Mbemba who didn’t wait for Mount to get a touch so that he can continue marking him and keeping him away from the box.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has opted for a 3-4-3 formation with five changes to the team that lost to West Brom in the weekend.
Edouard Mendy starts in goal with captain Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, who replaces Thiago Silva, and Andreas Christensen, on for Kurt Zouma, teaming up in defence.
Reece James plays as right wing-back with Ben Chilwell, who takes Marcos Alonso’s place on the other side, while Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic link up in midfield.
Mason Mount, who replaces Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, on for Christian Pulisic, and Timo Werner lead the attack.
Meanwhile, Porto manager Sergio Conceicao appears to have opted for a 4-4-2 formation with four changes to the team that beat Santa Clara in the Primeira Liga.
Agustin Marchesin starts in goal with Wilson Manafa at right-back and Zaidu Sanusi, on for Nanu, at left-back, while captain Pepe and Chancel Mbemba, who replaces Diogo Leite, team up at centre-back.
Jesus Corona, who takes Sergio Oliveira’s place, covers the right flank with Otavio on the other side, while Liverpool loanee Marko Grujic, on for Mehdi Taremi, and Mateus Uribe link up in midfield.
Porto defender Pepe has set his sights on knocking Chelsea out and going all the way in the Champions League this season.
Pepe has won the competition three times in his career, all with Real Madrid, and believes he can add a fourth crown with Porto.
Porto stunned Italian champions Juventus in the last round and now Pepe is dreaming of winning the Champions League this season, report the Evening Standard.
“If I didn’t believe it, I wouldn’t wake up every day to come and train at Olival (Porto’s training ground) with the passion I have for football,” said Pepe.
“I always believe that it is possible to win the Champions League with FC Porto.
“The credit is due to our coach who makes us the first to believe his ideas. Today there are no easy games and there is a lot of evidence for that.
“Believing in our work and strictly following what the coach asks of us, we always have many possibilities to win games and to overcome challenges like this.
“Chelsea have a squad that is valued at almost 700 million euros, but that doesn’t matter. We all know that Chelsea have great players, but we have prepared the game well and we will see what happens in the 90 minutes.
“In football there are no certainties, but I hope that we can be well and be the team that we got used to by our coach and our fans.”
Chelsea have been given a huge boost with N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic named in the squad for Wednesday night’s clash at Porto.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed both players are fit to travel for the Champions League quarter-final first-leg.
Kante missed the 5-2 thumping at home to West Brom with a muscular injury, while Pulisic was taken off at half-time with a hamstring issue.
But both are ready for action, with Tammy Abraham also returning after an eight-game absence with a foot injury.
Tuchel confirmed: “They are fit enough to be in the squad and will be in the squad so this is good news.
“Christian went out right before the injury could happen.
“He said at half-time he felt if he continued it would be an injury coming so we had to take him off.
“Tammy is in the squad and [Kante] just did the last test and will be on the bench.
“He feels very comfortable and comfortable enough to be on the bench.
A thrilled Tuchel added: “I’m super happy because today is the first time everybody is back in training so this is what you want.
“We will have some major decisions to take and I have the feeling that we’re absolutely ready for [Wednesday’s] game.”
Chelsea will take on Porto at Sevilla’s Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, with the game moved from Portugal due to coronavirus restrictions.
And Tuchel has admitted Olivier Giroud could play a part in the game against Porto having scored FOUR at the same stadium against Sevilla in the group stages.
Tuchel added: “He’s in the running and in the squad.
“He’s absolutely excited to return to Sevilla and play there so it gives him a good feeling.
“He’s been very strong for us in the Champions League and he has history in Sevilla scoring many goals in this campaign.”
