Emerson wants to ‘run away’ from Chelsea

Reports in Italy claim that the Blues defender Emerson Palmieri wants to ‘run away’ from Chelsea, and a Serie A return is on the cards.

The former Roma defender has only played two Premier League games so far this season, and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia, he wants to “run away” from Chelsea” at the end of the campaign.

Emerson praised new Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel earlier in April but admitted his future at Chelsea is in doubt.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are considering a summer move for the 26-year-old in the summer as his contract expires in 2022.

However, the Nerazzurri are not the only Serie A club interested in welcoming his services.

Juventus are also being linked with signing the Italy international with Calciomercato.com reporting the Old Lady could offer Alex Sandro a swap deal with the Blues.

Emerson is a long-time Juventus target, and the Old Lady came close to signing him from Roma in 2017 before he picked a severe knee injury.

According to different reports in Italy, Napoli have also set their sights on the former Roma man.

Chelsea, Manchester City, others in race for ‘next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City are circling for the ‘next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ – Inter Milan striker Martin Satriano.

Premier League giants have reportedly stepped up their interest in Liverpool fan Satriano as Serie A leaders Inter face financial problems.

And the Uruguay starlet, 20, has admitted he’d love to play in the Premier League.

The Mail claim Champions League semi-finalists Paris Saint-Germain and second-placed Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are also keen on him.

Satriano has amassed eight goals and six assists in just 18 matches this season.

But although his contract runs until 2024, he appears to be one of the players most likely to be sold if Inter decide to cut costs this summer.

Prem clubs were thought to be in the running for his signature when Inter lured him from home-country side Nacional in January 2020.

Instead, Satriano moved to Italy and built an even stronger reputation, earning comparisons to burly Swedish legend Ibrahimovic.

Sergio Aguero reveals his wage expectation from Chelsea, others

Chelsea target Sergio Aguero is demanding £200,000-a-week wages from his next club, according to reports.

The Manchester City legend is leaving the Etihad at the end of the season when his contract expires and there are four clubs looking to land the 32-year-old.

Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are the three teams battling Chelsea for Aguero’s signature, according to AS.

And the striker’s agent told Italian giants Juve they would have to cough up £200k-a-week in order to sign him, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Aguero is trying to capitalise on his free agent status with any club not required to pay a transfer fee for such a talented player.

Barca are unlikely to be able to cough up the big dough with their finances crippled by Covid-19, but the chance to play with his friend Lionel Messi – if he stays in Catalonia – could tempt Aguero to the Nou Camp.

Armed robbers attack AS Roma star Chris Smalling, family in Italy

There are reports Chris Smalling was robbed at home in front of his wife and two-year-old child in a horrifying ordeal for the Roma defender on Friday morning, according to reports.

Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, via the Mail, claims three armed robbers broke into the English footballer’s home and forced him to open his family’s safe, where the aggressors took items of jewellery and other valuable items.

Smalling’s wife, Sam, is said to have called the police at around 5am in the morning and officers arrived at the Smalling family’s villa, located around 25 miles south of Rome, with the trio very distressed.

The same report claims police are still investigating the incident and Roma have offered the support out to the player.

Smalling, who joined the Italian club from Manchester United on a permanent deal last year, was not involved in Roma’s Europa League tie with Ajax at the Stadio Olimpico on Thursday night due to a knee injury.

Paul Pogba blasts former boss Jose Mourinho

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has re-opened his feud with old boss Jose Mourinho, slamming his management methods at Old Trafford.

The midfielder and Mourinho had a rocky relationship towards the end of the manager’s time in charge at Old Trafford.

Contrasting Mourinho with current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the French star also accused Mourinho of using diversion tactics after his Tottenham side went down 3-1 to United last Sunday.

Pogba was stripped of the United vice-captaincy in September 2018 in front of his team-mates and the pair had a training ground bust-up shortly afterwards that was picked up by TV cameras.

Mourinho was sacked three months later and replaced by Solskjaer, who is aiming to win his first silverware as United boss in the UEFA Europa League.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Pogba was scathing in his view of Mourinho, saying: “What I have now with Ole is different, he wouldn’t go against the players. He wouldn’t go against the players.

“Maybe Ole wouldn’t pick them, but it’s not like he puts them on the side like they don’t exist anymore. That’s the difference between Mourinho and Ole.

“Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don’t know what happened.

“That’s the strange thing I had with Mourinho and I cannot explain to you because even I don’t know. So, yeah.”
