(Watch Highlights) Fikayo Tomori scores as AC Milan thrash Juventus

Chelsea loanee loanee Fikayo Tomori got on the scoresheet as AC Milan thumped Juventus 3-0 to dump the Old Lady out of the top-four.

Andrea Pirlo’s side started the day level on points with Milan – but were absolutely thumped at the Allianz Stadium.

Brahim Diaz, Ante Rebic and Tomori all scored in the 3-0 drubbing as the visitors climbed to third in the Serie A standings.

And it’s bad news for Juventus – who have already missed out on the chance to win a tenth straight league title – with Cristiano Ronaldo set to assess his options this summer.

Ronaldo was signed in a £99million deal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 with the Italian giants desperate to end their Champions League drought.

Juve haven’t won Europe’s premier competition since 1995-96, with five-time winner Ronaldo believed to be the missing link.

However, not only has the Portuguese ace failed to deliver a Champions League win – with back-to-back last-16 exits, no less – he even helped Juventus surrender their Serie A dominance.

The Old Lady last missed out on the league title in 2010-11, when Sunday’s opponents AC Milan clinched it.

And Milan may have just inflicted the knockout blow with Juventus now at risk of missing out on Champions League football altogether next season.

(Watch Highlights) Victor Osimhen scores brace as Napoli flatten Spezia

Victor Osimhen was unstoppable with two goals and an assist as Napoli flattened Spezia 4-1, but lost Dries Mertens to injury.

Victor Osimhen curled wide of the far post following a defensive error, but Piotr Zielinski opened the scoring when meeting the Giovanni Di Lorenzo pull-back from six yards.

Spezia tried to fight back with a Nahuel Estevez shot charged down, but it just left them exposed on the counter, with Zielinski sending Osimhen clear from his own half to double their lead. That was the fourth consecutive match on target for the Nigeria international.

The striker’s pace was again decisive, but this time the Spezia defence was caught napping, as Lorenzo Insigne dinked up a free kick and Osimhen sprung the offside trap to chest and volley in undisturbed.

Diego Demme forced a save from close range after an Insigne back-heel flick, while Matteo Politano blasted over after another run from midfield.

Spezia did get one back when Alex Meret made the save on an Estevez diving header, but could do nothing on substitute Roberto Piccoli’s follow-up.

Dries Mertens came off the bench, but lasted only seven minutes before hobbling off with an ankle injury.

Napoli’s fourth goal was initially disallowed, but Osimhen was onside when he started his run again from the centre-circle, although this time he generously rolled it across for Hirving Lozano to tap in instead.

AC Milan boss confirms plan “to buy Fikayo Tomori on permanent deal from Chelsea” after his goal against Juventus

AC Milan want to complete the permanent transfer of Fikayo Tomori for £25million this summer.

The Chelsea and England defender, 23, is enjoying himself on loan at the San Siro this season.

Part of the contract signed in January included the option for Milan to buy him at the end of the six-month agreement.

And manager Stefano Piolo confirmed his side intend to activate the clause to keep Tomori.

He said: “We want to buy Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea.

“Our intention is clear and also Fikayo’s decision [staying at Milan].

“We’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”
