Revealed: Second-richest Barcelona star after Lionel Messi

Martin Braithwaite is the second-richest player at Barcelona after Lionel Messi, according to Forbes and sports journalist Zach Lowy.

Braithwaite part-owns a real estate business valued at €250m, a clothing business with his wife and a smart-house project.

The Dane wears number nine at Camp Nou, and given Messi is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Barcelona he’s technically the richest player at the club.

Braithwaite joined Barcelona from Leganes mid-way through the 2019/20 season, making 40 appearances for the blaugrana and scoring three goals since.

Before turning up at Camp Nou, Braithwaite had represented Esbjerg fB, Toulouse, Middlesborough and Bordeaux. He’s also scored ten goals in 53 appearances for Denmark, and was just last night knocked out of Euro 2020.

Braithwaite was a key component of an impressive Danish side that recovered from the shocking cardiac arrest suffered by Christian Eriksen against Finland in their first game of the tournament to make it to the semi-final, where they lost in extra-time to England at Wembley Stadium in London.

Chelsea target tells team-mates his next club

Ben White has reportedly told his England team-mates that he expects to be at Arsenal next season.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have also registered their interest in signing White but have yet to submit an offer.

The Brighton defender’s proposed £50million switch to the Gunners is all but complete, according to multiple reports.

The 23-year-old has his eyes on a move to the Emirates, journalist Peter O’Rourke has claimed.

Speaking on the Football Terrace podcast, he said: “Ben White really wants this move even though there was a bit of late interest from Everton.

“The defender has his heart set on a move to the Emirates, I think he wants to stay down south predominantly as well so that puts Arsenal in a real good position to finalise this move.”

“He’s been telling some of his England teammates that the deal is pretty much done. He expects to be an Arsenal player at the start of next season.”

Jose Mourinho battles three Premier League clubs for Chelsea star

Reports in France claim Chelsea are expected to offload Kurt Zouma this summer with Jose Mourinho interested in bringing the defender to AS Roma.

According to telefoot, Premier League rivals Wolves, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are interested whilst Jose Mourinho’s Roma are also spoken of as a potential destination.

It’s claimed that Wolves have already registered their interest but Zouma has turned down a move.

Tottenham and Everton, who Zouma joined on loan for the 2018-19 season, are also keen on a deal.

But Zouma also has the option of linking up with his former manager as Mourinho is understood to be keen on bringing the French defender to Roma.
