There are reports Everton are keen to acquire the services of Bournemouth stopper Asmir Begovic.
New boss Rafa Benitez wants to beef up his back-up to England hero Jordan Pickford.
And he views ex-Chelsea stopper Begovic as the man to fit the bill.
Championship side Bournemouth would be open to a deal as the 34-year-old is one of their highest earners and has just a year left on his contract.
Begovic spent time on loan two seasons ago at Azerbaijani outfit Qarabag and AC Milan, but last year played nearly every game for the Cherries.
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti could line up a move for Mo Salah if a deal to land Kylian Mbappe falls through, according to reports.
Despite the financial struggles following the pandemic, Los Blancos are eager to land a big-name signing.
They want to bolster their squad with a star-studded name after missing out on the LaLiga title last season while also flopping in the Champions League.
Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Mbappe remains the No1 transfer target as he heads into the final year of his contract.
The French ace is also keen to make the switch to the Bernabeu although it remains doubtful a deal can be done this summer.
According to Fichajes, Ancelotti has told the board that he wants Salah among the ranks as a Plan B.
The report adds how Salah’s relationship with boss Jurgen Klopp is fractured and therefore Liverpool would be willing to cash in for the right price.
Reports in Italy claim Diego Costa had agreed a two-year contract with Bologna, only for Sinisa Mihajlovic to block the move.
Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà claims this evening that Costa was all set to make his Serie A debut at the Stadio Dall’Ara.
The contract would’ve been for two seasons, with wages worth €2.5m per year plus a signing-on bonus.
It was all set, the 32-year-old Spain international with Brazilian origins is a free agent after his Atletico Madrid contract expired in January.
However, it’s reported Bologna coach Mihajlovic pulled the plug on the whole idea, as he refused to bring Costa into the squad.
His first choice has always been and remains Marko Arnautovic, who is having difficulty terminating the contract with Shanghai SIPG by mutual consent so that he can join Bologna as a free agent.
It is not clear why Mihajlovic would be so against Costa, but the striker does have a history of clashing with coaches and teammates, above all at Chelsea with Antonio Conte.
Perhaps Mihajlovic also discussed it with his former Lazio teammate Diego Simeone, who was his coach at Atletico Madrid until January.
As for Costa, he has also been linked with a move to Besiktas, Olympique Marseille and Lille.
