Manchester United have confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo’s sensational return from Juventus – “subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical”.

City had been front-runners to complete a deal for Ronaldo after missing out on Harry Kane, but in an incredible twist, they claim to have decided against it.

The 36-year-old has flown out of Turin and United drafted contracts to send to Jorge Mendes and an official bid, which has been accepted, to Juventus.

The club Ronaldo’s mega-money wages for his Manchester United return have already been revealed.

The Juventus superstar will pick up £25million a year – which works out at £480k a week plus add-ons, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The club stated: “Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.

“Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.”

Juventus boss Allegri confirms Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit after he bids teammates farewell, reveals his discussion with star

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed earlier on Friday that Ronaldo has played his last game for the Italian giants and at that point, it seemed that the Portugal star was destined to sign for Pep Guardiola’s City side.

But Solskjaer, who played alongside Ronaldo at United, has made a dramatic intervention amid outcry from United’s fanbase at one of their finest every players joining their fierce rivals.

Allegri said: “Yesterday, Ronaldo told me that he no longer has any intention to play for Juventus.

“He is not available for tomorrow’s match against Empoli. He’s going to look for a new club after three years here.’

Ronaldo bid his team-mates farewell in a 40-minute meeting with his Juventus team-mates on Friday morning and at that point, his moved to City looked to be becoming a formality.

City manager Guardiola was coy over the prospect of signing Ronaldo at his own press conference on Friday, before it emerged the club had withdrawn from the race to sign him.

Man United hijack Cristiano Ronaldo’s Man City move, Solskjaer confirms his interest

There are reports that Cristiano Ronaldo is billed to return to Manchester United as the Old Trafford club manager
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opened the door for a dramatic return of the Juventus’ star.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes was in talks with neighbours Manchester City after the Portugal star decided to leave Juventus, but it emerged on Friday afternoon that Pep Guardiola’s side will not sign him.

The Italian club wanted a £25million transfer fee but City were pushing for a free transfer and for Ronaldo to take a pay cut on his £500,000-a-week wages.

And United sensationally signalled their interest in the Old Trafford legend on Friday when Solskjaer made it clear that he would welcome the 36-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner back to the club.

“Ronaldo is a legend of the club, and the greatest player of all time, if you ask me,” said the United boss.

“I didn’t think he’d leave Juventus. We’ve always had a good communication and I know Bruno (Fernandes) has been talking to him.

“He knows what we feel about him. If he was ever going to move away from Juventus, he knows we’re here.

“When you are Messi, Ronaldo, Pogba or Bruno, you have to read a lot about yourself. Let’s see what happens with Cristiano, because he is a legend of this club.

“I don’t want to speculate too much on Cristiano. We focus on the ones we have here. I’ve said many times, when you’re Man United or (Lionel) Messi, Ronaldo you read a lot about yourself.

“I was fortunate to play with him and coach him. Everyone who has played with him has a soft spot for him.”

Real Madrid to announce Kylian Mbappe’s £154million arrival today

Reports in Spain say Real Madrid are to announce Kylian Mbappe’s £154million arrival on Friday morning, appearing briefly in the Spanish capital before joining up with the French national team ahead of their clash with Bosnia this coming Wednesday.

Marca say PSG will sanction the sale once they have confirmed France striker Mbappe wants to leave.

The 22-year-old has continued to train with PSG but he is reportedly not expected to be included in the squad for Sunday’s Ligue 1 game against Reims.

Los Blancos had a bid of £137m rejected by PSG on Wednesday, with sporting director Leonardo stating the offer was ‘very far’ from the club’s valuation of the forward.

Real have now improved their offer – but the sum is still short of the £162m PSG paid Monaco for Mbappe in 2017.

REVEALED: What Cristiano Ronaldo did in Juventus dressing room after Manchester City agreement

Reports in Italy claim Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has emptied his locker at Juventus, informing the club his time with the Bianconeri is over.

Sky Sport Italia reports, via Football Italia, that the Portugal captain has cleaned out his locker in the dressing room and reveals he will not be available when Juventus play Empoli this weekend.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims Ronaldo has informed the Bianconeri that he doesn’t want to play for the Old Lady anymore and a bid from Manchester City is expected in the coming hours.

The previous reports had suggested agent Jorge Mendes has travelled to convince Manchester City of meeting Juventus’ demands.

Diario AS in Spain reports the 36-year-old has reached an agreement with Manchester City, but the Premier League side haven’t found a solution with Juventus.

There are no concrete offers yet, as Juventus reportedly demand between €25-30m to sell the striker.

Mendes travelled to France today to continue pushing Manchester City into paying up the required transfer fee and SportItalia expects the agent to return with an offer that Juventus will then accept.

The latest report from Sky Sport claims Ronaldo has emptied his locker and is preparing for life elsewhere. Ronaldo’s time at Juventus is already over.
