Paris Saint-Germain confirm arrest of their star after paying “two men to attack a team-mate with an iron bar”

PSG have confirmed star Aminata Diallo is in police custody as they condemned the shocking attack on her team-mate Kheira Hamraoui.

L’Equippe broke the stunning news this morning that 31-year-old French female star Hamraoui was dragged out of her car by two masked men before they punched and kicked her.

They then alleged that the attack was orchestrated by her international and club-mate Hamraoui to eliminate her from competition for a first team spot.

Cops swooped to arrest the 26-year-old midfielder this morning, with PSG confirming an incident had taken place.

A club statement said: “Paris Saint-Germain takes note of Aminata Diallo’s police custody this morning by the Versailles SRPJ as part of the procedure opened following an assault last Thursday evening against Club players.

“Paris Saint-Germain strongly condemns the violence committed. Since Thursday evening November 4, the Club has taken all the necessary measures to guarantee the health, well-being and safety of its players.

“Paris Saint-Germain is working with the Versailles SRPJ to shed light on the facts. The Club is attentive to the progress of the procedure and will study the follow-up to be given to it.”

Andreas Christensen expresses doubts over his Chelsea future

Andreas Christensen has ‘no idea’ if his Chelsea deal will be extended past this season.

Boss Thomas Tuchel has transformed the 25-year-old into one of the Premier League’s top centre-backs.

But Christensen will be free to agree a deal with foreign clubs as early as January.

Reports last month claimed Chelsea are eager to tie Christensen down for the future.

But it was also suggested there’s been NO contact between the Dane and his club over a new deal for over two months.

Christensen admits he is still in the dark over his Stamford Bridge future, with the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid circling.

The centre-back has told Danish publication BT that his relationship with the club is good, but that he has ‘no idea’ what is happening with his contract situation.

He said: “I will not comment on it, because you know everything that has been written.

“I can’t do that at all. I feel valued, I’m happy, but I don’t get into the contract situation.

“I’m still happy and I enjoy football, so there’s not so much. I have no idea about it at all, I do not feel that there is any pressure or anything, I just enjoy it.

“I don’t know why everyone thinks it’s a bad situation. [Chelsea] have a player who right now enjoys playing football and the coach shows him confidence.

“There is no bad relationship, there is nothing.”

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone’s on set to join Premier League club

West Ham are reportedly lining-up a transfer swoop to sign the son of Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.

Striker Giovanni Simeone, 26, has been in fine form for Italian side Hellas Verona.

He already has nine goals in 11 matches for them in Serie A, including a recent brace against Juventus.

The Argentine’s exploits are now starting to attract attention from elsewhere.

And Caught Offside are claiming that West Ham are exploring the possibility of launching a move for him.

Barcelona set to raid Premier League for strikers, target Chelsea star for move

Barcelona are reportedly desperate to add some firepower when the transfer window opens in January.

Marca claim the ailing giants are targeting a trio of forwards this winter, with Timo Werner, Edinson Cavani and Raheem Sterling on the wishlist.

Barca are languishing ninth in LaLiga and recently sacked manager Ronald Koeman after a woeful start to the season.

Club legend Xavi has been brought in to steady the ship but his transfer options will be limited with the club in a dire financial state.

The Catalans are struggling under a mountain of debt and any signings in January are likely to rely on players leaving too.

Reports: Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Manchester United should they miss out on Champions League football next term, according to the Express.

Upon signing for the club he said: “I am not here for a vacation.

“As I told you, before was good, winning important things and I wore the shirt before many years ago, but I am here to win again.

“I am capable, me and my team-mates. I am ready to go, I am ready to go. It is a good chance for me, for the supporters, for the club, to get one step ahead.

I am ready and I think I will be a huge thing in the next three or four years.”

So far, Ronaldo hasn’t disappointed.

He’s scored nine goals from 13 outings so far this term, including five in the Champions League alone.

But United are stuck in a shambolic rut under Solskjaer, who appears lost when it comes to a solution.

And, therefore, it’s certainly feasible Ronaldo will look to leave should the Red Devils continue to fall.

Bayern Munich legend names Chelsea, three others as potential winners of this season’s Champions League

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Lothar Matthaus has suggested that Chelsea are among the favourites to lift the Champions League this season.

The Blues have kicked off the defence of their crown in a relatively positive manner, having won three out of their four group games – with the only defeat coming away from home against Juventus.

Talking to Marca, he said: “For me, the favourites for the Champions League are Chelsea, Liverpool, City and Bayern Munich.

“Barcelona have their problems and Atletico have always been a dangerous team, but they are not as good a team as Liverpool or City.”

(Watch Video) Mason Mount posts hilarious video after his dental surgery

Mason Mount has posted a hilarious video showing the aftermath of his dental surgery.

The England star has had a wisdom tooth taken out following an infection which kept him out of recent Chelsea games.

In the video he says: “If I got punched right now I wouldn’t even feel it.”

A woman, not featuring on camera, asks: “Should I try?”

And after initially replying yes Mount quickly backtracked.

REVEALED: Why Newcastle are desperate to sign former Chelsea director of football Michael Emenalo

Ex-Chelsea chief Michael Emenalo is a frontrunner for the director of football job at Newcastle, according to reports.

The Nigerian worked in various roles at Stamford Bridge between 2007 and 2017, and was also Monaco’s technical director.

According to the Telegraph, Emenalo travelled to Saudi Arabia last week for talks with Newcastle’s new owners.

He has emerged as the No1 target to fulfil the same position he did with the Blues from 2011-2017, where he is credited with building the infrastructure for their incredible youth academy.

With his army of scouts he helped identify Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne, Mo Salah and Romelu Lukaku as signings for the club.

This is why the Magpies are desperate for his know-how, as they begin their own revolution following a Saudi takeover.

The 56-year-old offered to resign when Jose Mourinho returned in 2013 – believing the Special One wouldn’t want to work with a director of football.

The former Chelsea supremo is now ‘first choice’ for the Magpies, but a number of ‘issues’ have to be ironed out before a deal is completed.

Reports suggest he is itching to get back. What better project to have than the richest club in the world, who are starting all over again from scratch, that will listen to ideas of how to grow.

Negotiations are expected to ‘accelerate’ during the international break.
