Kepa wants ‘change of air’ as ex-Chelsea boss eyes reunion

There are reports that Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga wants a ‘change of air’ as former Blues manager Maurizio Sarri is said to be keen to reunite with the Spaniard at Lazio.

According to Sport Witness, the Serie A are interested but would not make a move until June.

Kepa is reportedly ‘[Maurizio] Sarri’s favourite’ for the position as neither Thomas Strakosha nor Pepe Reina have fully convinced him.

The Italian manager knows the Spaniard well from their time together at Stamford Bridge, and, in his eyes, he’s an upgrade on what he currently has at his disposal.

But, Chelsea would need to pay a portion of Kepa Arrizabalaga’s wages should he depart on loan amid Lazio interest.

Corriere dello Sport look at the situation, and make it clear that any goalkeeper arrival would be in June.

As expected, ‘he would need to move on loan, accept a wage cut and Chelsea would need to acknowledge a part of it’.

Sergio Aguero considers retiring from football following “complicated” medical report

Reports in Spain claim Sergio Aguero is considering retiring from football following a diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmia, which is believed to be more complicated than first thought.

According to Catalunya Radio, as cited by the Daily Mail, the 33-year-old Barcelona forward’s tests results have not been promising after he left the pitch 41 minutes into his first start with chest pains last month.

Aguero had initially been told to rest for three months but it now appears the issue could be far more significant.

Catalunya Radio says the option of retiring has been put to Aguero. Their report says that his condition is complex and could be ‘incompatible’ with professional sport.

Aguero joined Barcelona on a free transfer last summer from Manchester City and was making his first start for his new club, in a LaLiga match against Alaves, when he started feeling chest pains.

The Argentinian walked off the pitch before spending the next two days in hospital.

Barcelona then announced that Aguero would rest for three months while “the effectiveness of treatment is evaluated”.
