Robert Lewandowski scored an 11 minute hat-trick as Bayern Munich coasted into the Champions League quarter-finals after a 7-1 demolition against RB Salzburg.

The tie was finely poised heading into the second leg, but a Lewandowski hat-trick, Thomas Muller brace, plus goals from Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry saw the Bundesliga giants progress at a canter.

Lewandowski’s 11 minute hat-trick is actually the QUICKEST in Champions League history.

The big Pole got the ball rolling in the 12th minute, stroking home a penalty after he had been fouled in the box.

He then added another from the spot nine minutes later to put his side in a dominant position.

It took just two more minutes for the 33-year-old to seal a 23-minute hat-trick, when he tapped the ball in with his thigh from a yard out following some shambolic Salzburg defending.

Salazburg did score one consolation, but an 8-2 defeat on aggregate makes for grim reading for the Austrians.
