Barcelona boss warns Manchester United off club star

Barcelona manager Xavi has warned Manchester United off transfer target Frenkie de Jong.

Reports have suggested incoming manager Erik ten Hag is interested in bringing his fellow countryman to the club.

But the Spanish tactician was full of praise for the midfielder, insisting he’s the future of the club.

“He has to be a player that makes the difference and he does. There aren’t many players with his quality in the world,” Xavi said in a press conference on Saturday.

“He’s the present and the future here. He is a very important player for me. He’s capable, strong, he gets into the box… He has had some excellent games, but he has to be consistent.”

Kai Havertz reveals his best position

Kai Havertz has revealed where he enjoys playing the most.

The versatile attacker has played in a number of positions over the years.

But if given the choice, he’d like to play in the No.9 slot for the Blues, which is where he plays for Germany.

Havertz said: “I played a lot of positions in the last couple of years, now it is no. 9. I play there in the national team.

“I guess it’s a good position for me, I like to play there as well.”
