Man United star Harry Maguire marries his childhood sweetheart in France

Harry Maguire has wed his childhood sweetheart Fern Hawkins in a stunning ceremony at a French chapel.

The Man Utd and England star shared a sweet picture from the nuptials today on his Instagram page.

Harry and Fern, 27, tied the knot at the Chateau de Varennes in the South of France, which is voted one of the top ten wedding venues in the world.

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has described his wedding to Fern Hawkins as a day he’ll never forget, in a heart-warming Instagram post.

He said the nuptials were “a day I’ll never forget”.

The 29-year-old tied the knot with his long-term partner of 11 years on Saturday in the presence of family and friends. The couple announced their engagement in 2018 during a romantic trip to Paris.

The Maguires have since had two children; Lillie Saint, who was born in April 2019, and Piper Rose, who was born in May 2020. Fern has often been snapped cheering on her now-husband during England matches.

Former Chelsea striker blasts Arsenal for claiming he was “too expensive”

Gonzalo Higuain has mocked Arsenal for claiming he was “too expensive” before they broke the bank for Mesut Ozil.

The Argentine forward was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates back in 2013.

But negotiations eventually broke down between the Gunners and Real Madrid as Arsene Wenger’s side were not willing to meet the Spanish giants’ valuation.

Just over one month later, Arsenal then obliterated their transfer record as they splashed out £42.2million on another Madrid player in Ozil.

Speaking to TyC Sports, he said: “I remember that I was on the verge of going to Arsenal when I went to Napoli, but they said I was too expensive. And a few days later, they paid €80m for Ozil!”

Higuain now plays for David Beckham’s Inter Miami in the MLS.

Chelsea close on Cristiano Ronaldo as Blues owner meets star’s agent

Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly has discussed the possibility of bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge.

That’s according to The Athletic, who claim the American met Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes in Portugal last week.

A deal would represent back-to-back summers in which Ronaldo has stunned the football world, returning to Old Trafford last summer after leaving Juventus.

The Manchester United star’s future is far from undecided with the player being linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Despite hitting 24 goals across all competitions last season, Ronaldo was unable to drag United to a top-four finish.

The Red Devils had to settle for a sixth and the Europa League instead.
