Antonio Conte set to re-unite with his former striker

There are strong indications that Antonio Conte may re-unite with Fernando Llorente’s as report emerged this afternoon that his agent was spotted at the Inter HQ today.

The Spaniard worked with Conte at Juventus, but snubbed the Italian at Chelsea when the striker joined Tottenham at last minute.

According to Football Italia, representative Frank Trimboli walked into the Nerazzurri offices in Milan this afternoon.

Llorente had been the main alternative for Napoli to first choice Icardi, who has so far refused all proposals, despite being told repeatedly that he had no chance of playing under Antonio Conte.

If Llorente is having talks with Inter, it could represent two different scenarios.

The first is that Llorente will join them as a free agent because Napoli finally got their foot in the door for Icardi, who would move for €65m.

However, if Inter are about to snap up free agent Llorente, then they’d be removing both Napoli candidates for the front line.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Llorente has also been linked with Manchester United.
