Arsenal have identified their ‘next Martin Odegaard’, with Caught Offside reporting that they have joined the race to sign SC Freiburg star Noah Darvich.

The playmaker is being tracked by a host of top European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, following the 16-year-old’s impressive displays with the Germany under-17s.

Though Arsenal will be hoping that the pathway into the first team and role models within their squad could prove decisive.

Darvich could certainly learn plenty from Odegaard too given that they are left-footed, attacking-minded midfielders – and the Norwegian was similarly sought after as a teenager before joining Real Madrid.
