Atletico Madrid interested in Chelsea star as Joao Felix moves to Stamford Bridge

Atletico Madrid will consider moves for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marcus Thuram as they seek a replacement for Joao Felix this month, according to reports.
The Portugal international is set to complete a loan move to Chelsea after the Blues agreed to pay a £9million loan fee for the 23-year-old – with both Arsenal and Manchester United refusing to meet those demands.
Felix has endured a strained relationship with Diego Simeone who was eager for the forward’s situation to be resolved quickly this month.
Despite his limited starts for the Spanish side, Felix is still Atletico’s third top scorer this season behind Antoine Griezmann and Alvaro Morata.
With Matheus Cunha also leaving the club this month to join Wolves on loan, AS report Atletico are now keen to bring in a new striker with a number of options being considered.
Among those is current Blues striker Aubameyang, who has endured a miserable spell back in England after joining Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer.
The 33-year-old scored 13 goals in 24 appearances in Spain during the first half of 2022 but has scored just three times for Chelsea this term.
The former Arsenal captain came on as an early substitute in last Thursday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City but suffered the indignity of being replaced himself later in the game with his side chasing an equaliser.
