Barcelona have withdrawn from the race to sign Manchester City’s star Joao Cancelo, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Barca reportedly wanted a discount on City’s £21million asking price for the out-of-favour Portuguese, who spent last season on loan in Catalonia.

But the reigning Premier League champions didn’t budge amid rival interest from Al-Hilal.

The Saudi Pro League are still hot on Cancelo’s heels and could tie up a deal for the 30-year-old before the summer deadline.
