Barcelona are closing in on signing Manchester CIty midfielder Ilkay Gundogan on a free transfer, reports Sport.

The Blaugrana are said to have agreed a three-year deal with the 32-year-old Germany international, with the announcement regarding his future expected after the Champions League final against Inter Milan.

Pep Guardiola’s side were keen to keep Gundogan at the Etihad Stadium, while there was also interest from Arsenal, but his preference is to experience playing in a new league.
