Cesc Fabregas warns Chelsea over signing Monaco youngster

Cesc Fabregas has warned his former club Chelsea over signing one of his Monaco teammates Aurelien Tchouameni this summer as transfer talks ramp up.

Thomas Tuchel is determined to bring in several targets in mind in the window to shore up his team despite winning the Champions League trophy.

After winning the Champions League, club owner Roman Abramovich wants to take full advantage and is eyeing some top targets.

Inter Milan star Achraf Hakimi is on Chelsea’s wish list as they look to strengthen their right-hand side.

However, an area that Tuchel wants to bolster is his midfield with a number of targets being scouted.

Monaco sensation Tchouameni, who has had a fantastic season in Ligue 1 and has caught the eye of a few top clubs.

Despite being just 21, the youngster has been given the responsibility of attack and defend in midfield.

And he has shone in both duties, whose value has skyrocketed over the last 18 months.

It has led to Chelsea taking a closer look over a deal that could be worth over £30m.

But Fabregas has told the Blues to stay away as he is enjoying playing with the wonderkid himself at Monaco.

In a Q&A on Twitter, the Spaniard was asked whether or not Tchouameni would be a good signing for his former club.

He said: “He has the potential to be the complete midfielder. Modern midfield player, but we need him still… sorry.”
