Chelsea making progress as Blues hierarchy adopt clever plot to beat Man United, others to Erling Haaland

Chelsea are gradually making good progress beyond the scenes in their attempt to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, according to Euro Sport.

There have apparently been positive interactions between the Blues and influential figures close to Haaland.

They want to prove to Dortmund’s 20-year-old sensation that the current project going on at Stamford Bridge is worth investing in to.

It has been no secret that Chelsea, along with the Premier League’s fellow big hitters, are interested from prying Haaland away from his home in Germany.

The Chelsea Chronicle reveals that he is seen by Chelsea’s hierarchy as the player who will help them challenge for league titles and the Champions League.

This could become easier than expected because of Dortmund’s financial situation.

A BBC report suggest that the Bundesliga club had recorded a loss of £23m in the second half of 2020.

Therefore, they compiled an emergency list of players that might need to sold to in order to regain some profit.

Jadon Sancho’s name was apparently top of the agenda, along with Giovanni Reyna, Jude Bellingham, Raphael Guerreiro and Haaland.
