Chelsea, Manchester City set for bidding war over £60million Bundesliga star

There are reports that Robert Lewandowski could be ‘tempted’ into a move to Chelsea or Manchester City as the two clubs are battle ready to slug it out for the signature of the Bayern Munich striker.

The 32-year-old is closing in on a number of records in Germany, and has previously hinted that he’ll finish his career in Bavaria.

Lewandowski is one of the best strikers ever to play in the Bundesliga, with 272 goals across his career with Bayern and Borussia Dortmund.

He has seemed to get even better with age, notching up an astonishing 36 goals in just 26 league appearances so far this season.

Lewandowski was considered a shoo-in for the 2020 Ballon d’Or before it was cancelled because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

But, with his contract set to have just two years remaining, the Pole is reportedly considering his options.

According to ESPN, the striker is ‘undecided’ on his future – with City and Chelsea emerging as serious ‘contenders’ to sign him.

The two Premier League sides, who meet in the Champions League final later this month, would have to part with at least £60million to secure Lewandowski’s services.
