Chelsea plot to hijack Manchester United move for England international

There are reports in England that Chelsea have added Manchester United’s target Jadon Sancho to their wishlist if their transfer ban be lifted in January.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport announced on Monday that Chelsea’s appeal against their transfer ban will take place on November 20.

If successful, Chelsea could potentially look at bringing in new recruits in January in a boost to their top-four chances.

Attacking options seem high on their list with both Wilfried Zaha and Timo Werner long-term targets.

But the Telegraph report Chelsea are also interested in signing Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

The 19-year-old has been a revelation in the Bundesliga since his move from Manchester City in 2017.

He enjoyed a breakout campaign last season, scoring 12 league goals to garner attention from England boss Gareth Southgate.

Sancho has since become a regular in the international set-up, making a total of 10 appearances with his first England goals coming in the 5-3 win over Kosovo in September.

And his performances have also seen Manchester United strengthen their interest in signing him, although Chelsea could now compete with them for his signature.
