Chelsea receive Denzel Dumfries boost

Inter have made the decision to sell their wing back Denzel Dumfries with a host of clubs including Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea interested.

His agent – Rafaela Pimenta – has equally dropped a huge hint over the future of the Netherlands international by claiming that they don’t want his price to increase too much to deter interest.

It comes amid an impressive series of displays from the wing-back in his first few games of the World Cup so far.

Dumfries set up both of his country’s first half goals with accurate crosses that were finished by two former Man United starts in Memphis Depay and Daley Blind. The 26-year-old then sealed the victory in the second half guiding home Blind’s cross.

The Blues were particularly looking at Dumfries as a Reece James alternative and they have now been given the green light by Inter for the transfer.

Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, have reported that the Dutchman is the player who will be “sacrificed” in order to meet financial targets.
