Chelsea, Serie A club commence transfer talks over red-hot Blues academy graduate

Reports in England and Italy claim Sassuolo are in negotiations with Chelsea to remove the €15m buy-back clause in Jeremie Boga’s contract, it’s reported.

The 23-year-old French-Ivorian is a product of the Stamford Bridge side’s academy and had loan spells at Rennes, Granada and Birmingham before his sale to Sassuolo for €3m in the summer of 2018.

His performances this season have really put Boga on the map, contributing seven goals and four assists in 23 Serie A games.

According to Tuttomercatoweb and The Sun newspaper, representatives of Sassuolo and Boga’s brother have flown to London for face-to-face talks with Chelsea.

The Neroverdi have asked to remove the buy-back clause and therefore own Boga outright, report Football Italy.

On the other hand, Chelsea are eager to either bring the wide forward back to London or activate the €15m option and sell him on at a profit.
