Chelsea have shown interest in Brighton pair Moises Caicedo and Leandro Trossard as they weigh up their next moves in the transfer market.

The Blues could be set to return to Brighton for their next targets in Ecuadorian midfielder Caicedo and Trossard, who has been in the news this week after a fallout with Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi, according to The Daily Mail.

The Belgian reportedly boarded a Eurostar to head back to his home country after learning he was dropped from Brighton’s match day squad following questions over the forward’s attitude.

Trossard’s contract expires at the end of the season, though the Seagulls are understood to have a an option to extend his contract by 12 months.

With the Blues in desperate need of reinforcements at the centre of the park, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs, via, has reported that the club are ‘actively exploring’ a deal which would bring Caicedo to Stamford Bridge.

The report states that Brighton haven’t received any offers yet will hold out for at least £75million this month – but Chelsea are only prepared to pay £65million.

If Chelsea do launch a bid to sign Caicedo, the midfielder has already admitted that he’s keen on a move.

Speaking to Ole ahead of the World Cup, as quoted by the Evening Standard, he said: “It made me very sad now that he left for Chelsea because he helped me a lot and I wanted to continue having him as a manager, but that’s football.
