Former Chelsea star wants Blues outcast to join him at Serie A club

Pedro has officially extended his contract with Lazio and would ‘like to close my career’ at the club, hopefully with former Chelsea teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The right-sided winger turns 36 later this week and was one of very few players to make the leap directly from Roma to Lazio as a free agent in the summer of 2021.

He put pen to paper on a new contract and will play in the Champions League this season after the Biancocelesti finished second in Serie A under coach Maurizio Sarri.

“I saw we have improved so much, especially in terms of mentality, and important players will arrive,” said the Spaniard in a press conference.

“I am ready to bring my experience both on the field and into the locker room. The Champions League is a difficult tournament and a reward for all the good work we did last season. I would love to face Barcelona in the group, even if it is always tough against them, but it would be special to play at Camp Nou again.”

There are reports the Biancocelesti are also interested in signing Pedro’s former Chelsea teammate Hudson-Odoi.

“Hudson-Odoi is a strong player, he can play on the right or left, so it would be great news if he arrived here.”
