Guardiola expresses fear Man City may lose out as chase for Chelsea target Erling Haaland hots up

Pep Guardiola fears Manchester City will be priced out of a big money replacement for Sergio Aguero this summer.

The Manchester City boss is keen to sign Erling Haaland in the summer to strenghten the club’s attack expecially with the exit of Aguero.

Haaland is reportedly interested in joining Real Madrid despite the resolve of other Premier League clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City to sign him.

The City boss said: “There are a lot, a lot, a lot of big, big chances that maybe we are not going to sign a striker for next season with the situation world economics as they are.

“We have enough players in the first team and interesting players in the academy.

“With these prices, it’s impossible – we cannot afford it. It’s not going to happen.

“All the clubs struggle financially and we are not an exception.”
