Half-Time Report: Chelsea lead Spurs… Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham
January 5th, 2022 by Olasunkanmi Ibikunle

Chelsea are ahead of Tottenham at the break in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final at Stamford Bridge.
Comical Ben Davies own goal doubled the lead for the Blues before half-time as Antonio Conte endures testing return to his former club.
Hakim Ziyech’s in-swinging free-kick, Japhet Tanganga headed the ball clear but it cannoned off Davies’ head and into the net!
Kai Havertz had earlier scored for Chelsea in the fifth minute of the game. Spurs gave the ball away poorly at the back and Marcos Alonso intercepted on the left-hand side.
He fed Kai Havertz in the box and his close-range shot looked to be going in – but Spurs centre back Davinson Sanchez could only divert the ball into his own net from underneath his own crossbar.

Tottenham are definitely missing Eric Dier as it has been a mess at the back for Antonio Conte’s side.
Chelsea have enough talent on the bench to make it even more difficult later in the game.
And Lukaku will want to make up for his missed chance.
Hugo Lloris might want to think about faking a cough and shooting off home before this gets out of hand.
