Half-Time Report: Kevin De Bruyne injured in Tottenham Premier League showdown

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne was injured in the first half of Premier League enconter against Tottenham.

He was forced off the lunchtime match after what looked like a fairly serious knee injury, and was replaced by Fernandinho.

The Belgium international has endured a stop-start campaign at the Etihad Stadium, but has recently shown signs of being back to his best.

But De Bruyne lasted just 37 minutes of the Premier League meeting with Tottenham, after appearing to roll his ankle when taking a shot at goal.

The 27-year-old was in discomfort, and when he next received possession, he fired the ball into the stands, sat on the deck grimacing, and was immediately replaced by Fernandinho.

He is now a doubt for the midweek Manchester derby against United.
