Half-Time Report: Manchester City 3-2 Tottenham… Five goals scored within seventeen minutes!

The first 45 minutes of the match at Etihad between Manchechester City and Tottenham- with the former leading the visitors 3-2 -has been absolute blockbuster.

Five goals were recorded in the space of 17 minutes – the shortest amount of time it’s taken in UCL history for five goals to be scored.

Raheem Sterling’s early goal levelled the tie, but Son’s quickfire double put the visitors not only ahead on the night, but two clear on aggregate.

Bernardo Silva’s deflected goal made it 2-2 on the night, before Sterling’s second brought the aggregate score level. It’s been an eventful 45 minutes, but Spurs, who currently lead the tie on away goals, will surely be under a lot of pressure after the break.

However, City’s attacking firepower means the visitors are a goal away from elimination, Spurs’ usually solid defence unable to cope with the combined powers of Bernardo, De Bruyne and Sterling. Glib it may sound, but the next goal will decide the tie.
