Half-Time Report: Wolves 3-0 Arsenal… Things are not looking rosy for the Gunners

Wolves are ahead in an entertaining first half of the match at Molineux against Arsenal after scoring three unreplied goals against the visitors.

Neves fired the home side in front when his free-kick from 25 yards found the back of the net after 28 minutes, before Doherty made it two with a close-range header nine minutes later.

Arsenal looked for a quick response but after losing the ball in their own half one minute before half time, Jota seized the opportunity and fired his low effort beyond Leno to give the hosts a three-goal lead at half time.

Granit Xhaka gave the ball away in the centre circle, Diogo Jota picked it up, beat Sokratis, then slotted a left-footed shot under Leno, who really should have done better.

It was a killer blow for Arsenal who were hoping it would remain 2-0 before the break.

Barring a remarkable second-half turnaround, that scoreline at Molineux has real implications for the rest of the top four contenders.
