Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has laughed off suggestions that Liverpool are in talks with PSG over a stunning one-year loan move for wantaway forward Kylian Mbappe.

The Frenchman has 12 months remaining on his contract at Parc de Princes and has informed the Ligue 1 champions that he has no intention of extending his stay at the club.

But Klopp has dismissed reports that Liverpool could be his home for the year.

Asked about the possibility of signing Mbappe, Klopp told Sky Germany: “We laugh about it!

“I can say that I think he’s a really good player, but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all.

“I wouldn’t like to ruin the story now, but as far as I know, there’s nothing to it.

“But it’s possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me, but that hasn’t happened in the eight years that I’ve been here. That would be the first time!”
