Juventus target ex-Blues striker as replacement if Todd Boehly blocks Romelu Lukaku’s move

There are reports that Juventus have received the green light from Alvaro Morata as they continue to negotiate a deal with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku.
The Bianconeri are deep in talks with the Blues regarding a possible swap deal involving Dusan Vlahovic and the Belgian striker. Whilst the deal would seemingly be good for all involved parties, the gap in valuation between the two players means Juventus want at least €35-40m in cash as well.
Juventus do not want to be caught empty handed should the talks with Chelsea collapse, so sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has been hard at work lining up a possible alternative to Lukaku.
Calciomercato.com details how Giuntoli has already spoken to Morata’s entourage and been given the green light for a possible third move to Juventus.
The Spanish striker has a €21m release clause, making him a far cheaper option than Lukaku. Atletico Madrid are not open to a loan exit, so it would have to be a definitive transfer.
