Reports in England claim Liverpool are interested in signing former Chelsea target Ben White in January.

The Premier League champions are desperate to sign a centre-back in January after the long-term injury to Virgil van Dijk.

According to The Sun, Brighton would demand at least £50m for Ben White if Liverpool come calling in January.

The 23-year-old, chased by Leeds in the summer having spent last season on loan at Elland Road, recently signed a new four-year deal at Brighton.

Brighton reportedly would not stand in the way of White moving to a big-six club, but only if the offer received was substantial.
