Premier League defending champions have announced Mario Balotelli will return to Manchester City for Vincent Kompany’s testimonial next month.

City announced on their official website that Balotelli had agreed to take part as a member of their Legends team who would be facing a Premier League All-Stars XI.

The Brescia new boy was a fans’ favourite at Etihad Stadium between 2010 and 2013, scoring 30 goals and lifting a Premier League title.

Among his contributions was assisting Sergio Aguero for the goal that won City the title in 2012.

The testimonial will be played at the club’s stadium on September 11 and is for Kompany, who made 360 appearances in 11 years with the English giants, report Football Italia.

The former Manchester City’s captain moved back to Belgian side Anderlecht, taking on the role of player-manager.”
