Manchester United have reportedly rejected the chance to sign wantaway Chelsea star Ben Chilwell.
That’s according to The Independent, who claim the prospect of a deal was mooted during talks, but United ultimately decided against it.
Chilwell is a member of Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ and has been told he is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans.
Chelsea and United have reportedly held talks over a number of deals that could be beneficial to both clubs, including moves involving Chilwell, Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho.
However, it is claimed that United will not be taking their interest in Chilwell any further.
That is despite Ten Hag suffering from a dearth of left-back options with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both injured.
