Reports in England claim Steve Bruce is plotting an ambitious loan move to bring Chelsea’s Reece James to Newcastle United.

Bruce is a huge fan of James and will put in a call to see if he is available for half a season for regular games with the Toon.

James was a second-half sub in Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday evening, and is known to be well liked by manager Frank Lampard.

But Bruce is willing to give James the stage to play every week at Newcastle for a few months and plans to put his case before the window opens.
