Reports in Italy indicate that Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku will have to meet three condiitions to stay at Inter next season.

The 29-year-old Belgian striker has finally started to reach a good level of fitness and has recently kickstarted a run of good form, scoring two goals and providing four assists in his last four Serie A outings with the club.

Inter brought back Lukaku from Chelsea last summer in a €20m total loan deal with no permanence clause attached, meaning he’s set to return to West London at the end of this season.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia, three conditions need to be met if Lukaku wants to stay with Inter beyond this season.

The first of these is that the new Chelsea coach, which could be Mauricio Pochettino, does not want to keep the Belgian striker in their squad.

The second is that Inter secure qualification to the Champions League, something which is still hanging in the balance in the final stages of this season.

Finally, Chelsea would need to accept a lower-cost loan deal for Lukaku, who in turn would need to significantly reduce his wages, as the current deal is too expensive to be renewed by Inter.
