Bayern Munich submit formal bid for Chelsea-linked star

Bayern Munich have reportedly submitted a formal bid to Rennes for Chelsea-linked Desire Doue.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are also expected to bid for the Frenchman.

Le Parisien has previously reported that Bayern recently had a £30million bid rejected by Rennes, leaving a good indication about the minimum amount the Blues would have to cough up should they want to win the race for the star themselves.

The winger is spending this summer with the France Olympic football squad.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are looking to immediately sign Rennes wonderkid Desire Doue.

According to The Sun, United, the Blues and Spurs have been embroiled in a major bidding war for Doue’s signature during the summer transfer window.

However, the Premier League trio are facing stiff competition from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain for the France Under-21 international.

The versatile winger is a “top priority” for both Chelsea and Tottenham, who have already held talks with the player’s camp as well as Rennes.

Negotiations are still “ongoing” between the Prem giants and the teenage sensation as well as his club.

Both London rivals are so keen on the Frenchman that they want a deal to be sealed by the end of the week.
