The 23-year-old Japan international has impressed for Real Sociedad and has been tipped as a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah, although the Egyptian is not going anywhere this summer.

Liverpool have entered final negotiations with Kubo’s representatives and they will pay €65million (£54.75m) for the player who got seven goals and five assists in 41 games for Real Sociedad last season.
